Meet our beautiful Steph. She holds a special place in our hearts as she has been with Solmates since we first launched. A master at all tasks in the warehouse, most days she is our packing genius - looking after all our orders and making sure each and every Solmate gets to you in perfect condition. (She also keeps us all very organised!). To put it simply, Solmates wouldn't run without her.
What does your day look like at Solmates HQ?
No two days at work are the same! There is always something different to do, be it packing our wonderful customers’ orders, making sure we have enough stock for what's to come whether it's our day to day stock or upcoming markets or helping with checking our stock ensuring the most efficient quality control is taking place. Usually though, I'm the one packing all the orders whether they are our customer orders or retail orders, ensuring your orders look beautiful, in the hope you all love your Solmates as much as we do!
What do you love most about working at Solmates?
I love our team (including Ruby who is our fluffy Solmates mascot). The seamless way we work together whilst listening to some tunes and being able to enjoy the moment even if we are at work - is everything. Solmates is a place where we work hard and we work together, helping each other to get where we have to be at the end of each day. I am also lucky enough as a mum, to enjoy the flexibility us mummas need to be able to work hard and still be a mum and be there for all the important stuff with my kids so I feel very lucky to be a part of my amazing team.
Where is your favourite place to take your Solmate?
I love taking my Solmates on all the adventures I go on with my family. They are a must have whenever we go out whether it's to the beach, the park or wherever we go. It's small and compact enough to carry in my bag and my kids love using it as it creates autonomy with their own sunscreen application, so it's a win-win all round.
Tell us your favourite Sustainability tip
I try my hardest to give my kids a lunchbox with naked foods and to not use or limit the use of snap lock bags and wrappers so that we can have a clean environment & planet. It's so important for us today and for the future.
